  • This workshop will introduce the fundamentals of real time digital simulation for power system and power electronics applications, with practical demonstrations using the RTDS simulator. Participants will gain an overview of key concepts, typical workflows, and the role of real time simulation in power system analysis and power equipment testing.
• Speaker Bio: 
  • Arunprasanth Sakthivel received his B.Sc. (Eng.) and M.Sc. (Eng.) degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, and Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Manitoba, Canada. He joined RTDS Technologies Inc. in 2016 and he is currently a Senior Simulation Engineer. His work focuses on transient simulation and stability analysis of inverter-dominated power systems, with extensive experience in modeling and simulating real-world power systems using a range of simulation tools. Dr. Sakthivel is a Senior Member of IEEE and a registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in the province of Manitoba, Canada.
